Evaluating Kitchen Taps and Smart Kitchen Market Trends

The drive for more hygienic, intuitive kitchen products such as kitchen taps is impacting smart kitchen market trends.

Between 2021-22 the UK kitchen taps market has experienced an excellent value growth of around 17%.

The strong growth of kitchen water systems, particularly boiling water taps, has added significant value to the market sector in the last two/three years, with the top four leading UK suppliers dominating 55% of the market.

It is forecasted that by 2027, the market will have a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.09% when compared to the estimated market size in 2023.

Kitchen Tap Products Supporting Smart Kitchen Demand

There are 3 main types of products within the market.

Kitchen mixers account for around 86% of all kitchen tapware sold in 2022 and are specified in most residential and commercial kitchens across the UK.

Accounting for just 8% of share of kitchen tapware sale, kitchen pillar taps are likely to be bought for replacement purposes and commercial applications.

And lastly, kitchen water systems are rapidly growing and now have a 6% share of unit sales.

Housebuilding and construction activity heavily impacts the market, as an effect of this the residential RMI sector is worth around 75% of the market in 2023. It is also estimated that around 6% of private UK households renovate a kitchen per year.
